High Voltage Collection

18.00

Made from pure copper wire scraps that we saved and reused, this jewelry is both unique, industrial, and totally hot. Literally. You can feel it warm up in the sun or your hand.

To make this collection, we found hollow copper wire in our scrap metal collection, then heated it with a blow torch and hammered it out to flat. Then we either cut and drilled pieces (for earrings and necklaces) or cut and shaped bracelets. Along the way, the pieces were carefully filed, and polished, using a combination of machines and by-hand techniques. This variety gives the pieces their unique patina and makes them comfortable to wear. It’s a multi-step process, but you can’t rescue trash and turn it into treasure without a little elbow grease!

Some people believe that the properties of copper can help alleviate arthritis or joint pain. (Perhaps you’ve seen those “As Seen on TV” ads for magic copper bracelets?) … So please shoot us an email if you find yourself feeling less stiff and achey after wearing one of these guys!

Go on. Turn up your voltage!
