Bloodstone Collection

from 13.00

Bloodstone is a type of green jasper with red streaks. Medieval Christians believed the red streaks were formed by blood falling on jasper during the crucifixion. In reality, it’s hematite.

Regardless, the appearance of blood in this stone has long been thought to add power to it. In ancient Greece and Rome, athletes wore bloodstone to boost their endurance and strength. They also believed it could help heal injuries.

Nowadays, it’s thought of as a grounding stone that’s useful in meditation. Some healers say that bloodstone can help take away some emotional pain to help you process grief or anxiety.

Don’t believe any of that? We get it. It’s still an incredibly pretty stone.
